WHAT WE DO
Task and Handling of a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Dealing with development and conduct or psychiatric disorders there are many possible causes to be considered.
Somatic illnesses, neurological disorders, traumatic expiriences, social or family related problems can possibly effect child development and cause many different symptoms.
A child psychiatrist knows about all these possibilities and will help to understand the cause of problems (multidimensional diagnostics).
Following this diagnostic phase, the second task will be the development of a special treatment for each child and its family, which patient and family then have to
approve.
For example we are dealing with following problems:

The Importance to screen for persisting primitive reflexes, because they may cause emotional problems or ADHD
Persisting primitive reflexes are still overlooked in psychiatric and neurologic screenings. But they can cause a lot of emotional problems or ADHD. I report cases from my more than 30 years of
clinical practice as a child and adolescent psychiatrist.
Treatment is simple and will take no more than 18 months of daily training, performed at home under instruction of movement therapists.
First publications on this topic in the 1970s by Sally Goddard-Blythe. Now you may read about clinical cases by an expert with medical education and experience and get an introduction about how
screening can be done.

#1 international bestseller
Why do I propose another book on AD(H)D? Because the published „state of the art“ still is devastating, when you look on the numbers affected and the general treatment outcome.
The topic is in increasing demand with experts and laymen as well.
My book will be able to change the game.
Imagine in US only more than 15.200.000 people affected by ADD or ADHD with grave consequences for their lives and families.
And there is a cure for ADHD that is now available in an updated version for your MD, when he/she decides to follow my principles for precise diagnosis and therapy controls.
I have been in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry for more than 30 years and have experienced many and changing scientific explanatory models for ADHD in these years.
A key experience for me was an advanced training course at an international convention in late 2004 in San Diego, where researchers created an animal model of ADD with brain scans to guide
stimulants. They showed, that after treatment there was an increase in the stimulus-processing structures in the brain, i.e., a learning process with direct restrictions on the brain
structure.
I then paid more attention to the patients I treated to see whether learning processes occurred during successful treatment. This could initially be read off indirectly. And today we can use
precise measurement and differential diagnostics to determine subtypes of ADHD, make a better primary selection of the appropriate treatment method, optimize treatment results and thus better
support the desired learning process of the brain.
This book does away with three misconceptions about attention deficit disorder. First, it shows: ADHD is not a fashion diagnosis, but a
disorder, that many people suffer from. Secondly, it can be objectively diagnosed. And finally, thirdly: ADHD is curable!
But ADHD does not vanish on its own. The brain has yet been able to make insufficient learning progress, and this causes the disorder. This book introduces a new concept in diagnostics and
therapy support. It explains how it is possible to promote the further development of the brain and enable those affected to lead a healthy life.
My book “ADS ist heilbar” has been published in Germany in 2019, ISBN 978-3579014753 and has so far reached many German speaking readers.
Concept:
• It is about the topic of attention disorders in children and adolescents, a new concept in diagnostics and therapy support with the aim of curing the delays in maturation of the brain that have
led to the symptoms, i.e., promoting the maturation of the brain.
• The target group are parents and those affected as well as professionals who work in the diagnosis and therapy of ADHD.
• The book is a technically well-founded guide, since the primary target group are parents and those affected and only secondarily doctors and therapists who want to improve their methodology are
addressed.
